🌸 Spring 2026 Timeline

January 5, 2026
Registration Opens
Spring season registration officially opens online for Recreational (U4–U12) and GBYSL Select teams.
March 1, 2026
Recreational Registration Deadline
Final day to guarantee the $175 rate (uniform included) and placement on neighborhood teams by zip code. Late registrants placed on waitlist.
March 20, 2026
Rosters Released to Coaches
Team rosters and contact lists distributed to volunteer coaches. Coaches will begin reaching out to parents.
April 6, 2026
Team Practices Begin
Local practices start at designated parks across Reno and Sparks. Most Rec teams practice 1–2 times per week.
April 18, 2026
Opening Day Kickoff
First official league matches of the Spring season. Rec games held on Saturdays at Reno-area sports complexes.
May 9, 2026
Picture Day & Mid-Season
Individual and team photos scheduled at field locations. Fun grassroots soccer events mid-season.
June 6, 2026
Season Finale
Final matches of the Spring season. Medal presentations for all grassroots age categories (U4–U8) and closing ceremonies.

🍂 Fall 2026 Timeline

July 6, 2026
Recreational Registration Deadline
Final day to register for Fall 2026. No refunds after the deadline unless registration insurance was purchased. Players are placed on teams by zip code whenever possible.
July 24, 2026
Select Team Registration Deadline
Final day for GBYSL member-club and approved independent teams to register for the Fall Select league. Per-team fees by age group; all players and coaches need current US Club cards.
Early August 2026
Practices Begin
Volunteer coaches contact rostered families and begin practices — typically once or twice a week, starting 5pm or later, at the coach's discretion.
August 15, 2026
Fall Season Kickoff
First of 7 games. Matches are primarily on Saturdays, with some midweek evenings for certain age groups.
October 17, 2026
Fall Season Finale
Final games of the Fall season before Reno's winter weather sets in.
